    Bike Storage at Work

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    Hi everyone
I was hoping people can either post pix, or link me to threads with pix

I have been searching for nearly 15mins and can't find threads I am sure are here.

Our sustainability group at work is looking at bike storage here (WOOHOO!!!!) and I said that TE had discussed several times, but now i can't find pix I thought were here!!!

    Thanks in anticipation

Since I'm the only one who rides to work, I"m allowed to park my bike in the back hallway. But we have those U racks at the front of our building.

    cage

My workplace has two bike storage areas. The one I pay to use is a secure lock up type cage set up.

Is that something you'd like to see? Íf so, i won't be able to get a pic until Friday...(last day of work with co, have to give key for lock up back & driving to the train station)

We have bike lockers. The one I use is the square type. You can put two together and they make a square. One opens on one side and the other opens on the opposite side. I love it. They are not good for the really tall bikes or your bikes with baskets that do not collapse.

At the bus station here I have seen the upright ones but I have not used them. They do not seem as commuter friendly in that it may be intimidating to have to get your bike into that position.

Here is a link to a site where I found bike the two types that I have seen

It is cool what you are doing. Good luck.

We're allowed to bring our bikes into the warehouse. But here's website on bike parking, if you scroll down a little, they provide a pretty extensive list of bike parking suppliers (lockers, racks, etc):

    RR --

PM me with your email address. I have some info you might find useful from a Bikeways Design class I went to through work a year or so ago. The attachment is too big for TE's upload limit.

    Thanks for your replies...

I did link my colleague to Jiffer's excited post about her bikes because there was the cool pic of the cupboard storage...

And I told her about this thread so she could check it out this morning. (And if you are reading this, L, you should join TE - its awesome and there's a whole forum devoted to just commuting! Did you notice??)

Coyote and Deanna, I can't get your links to load fully so will have a proper look when I get to work (its only 6am at the mo!)... but thank you in advance.

CC... would love to see a pic if you can get get (I'll try and send some of the rain here back to you to fill up your reserves in WA.

BM, just about to pm you Thanks
