Oooh, happy dance time! I haven't worn mine yet because I wanted their first ride to be mud (actually cow) free. I'm sure that we will be much faster now!

I bought a 2nd pair of shoes Mon when I took the Peugeot in for his overhaul. I couldn't stand the thought of wearing my Specialized MTBs on the road bike.....it just seemed wrong ya know....Like a rabbit with a pancake on it's head!!![]()
I don't know V......you're making this tough: newshoes/cashmere/newshoes/cashmere/newshoe.........
wait???...why can't I have BOTH???....Yeah That's the ticket!!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
Well, my intent was to wear my nice new Sidi Dom's much earlier than today, but I kept on wearing my old Dom's until this week - didn't want to start out my relationship with my new shoes by riding in them in the rain! So this past week is the first time that I wore them.Originally Posted by SadieKate

(...yes, my bike & I were definitely moving down the road, and if you need to ask how I took this picture - well, you probably don't want to know!)

Great pic, Denise!!
I covet those rose Sidis - they are next on my list, but I have a good pair of black Sidis and blue Lakes (road shoes), and Cannondales (mtb shoes), so I won't let myself buy more until at least one of them wears out. And of course I'm only riding inside these days anyway...![]()
They sure are purty - enjoy!![]()

For your curiosity, Corsair!
Before I started down this smoothly paved road (with a good paved shoulder), I put my camera in my right hand, turned it on, and made sure the strap was around my wrist. I then started pedaling, holding on to the handlebars with my left hand only. Luckily it's an autofocus (and digital) camera. I could sort of see the screen to select my pic - and once the bike was moving at a decent pace I stopped pedalling - and I just snapped away. I figured the the focus on my (non-moving) foot would be decent since the camera was moving at the same speed as my foot. So my foot & bike frame is in focus and the ground I was passing over was blurred.
I think I need a helmet-mounted camera!

rofl - the visual on this is just too precious! I can see myself driving by (or riding by) wondering "what is that woman doing?...is she taking a picture of herself on her bike?....why would anyone do that?" Thanks so much for my afternoon smile!!
