You get TWO free Shiner Bocks AND dinner AND a massage AND the concert!!!

No on the Lance. But I rode with a woman the other day with a Lance story. She was riding up a particularly steep road here when along comes a guy from behind and starts pushing her up the hill, in a helpful sort of way, of course. He comes around and she discovers, *gasp* *catch breath* IT'S HIM! He was hanging out at the top when she got there. She thanked him for the boost. He said "You were doing fine, you didn't need it." She was too flabbergasted to say much else.

Very cool Lance story! Those pushes up hill are so great. My hubby does that for me sometimes, when we actually get to ride together!!

Well, much as I'd love to come out to Texas for the ride, I'm pretty sure it ain't gonna happen unless I win the sweepstakes!!

Great story Fixed - and I Love your location! I'm gonna have to pass on the Shiner and just about everything else this year. I'm going to Hungary with my 72 yr old father in Sept and I'm trying really hard to save my pennies for the trip. (of course- decking out a road bike does NOT count in the spending money catagory right?)
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Corsair, all those pennies you're spending on your new French boyfriend go in the same column as vitamins, health insurance, and all that good stuff.

And a trip to Hungary with your dad, WOW! Is there family history there? What a fantastic place to visit!

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".

Yes - my father is a first generation Hungarian American. My grandmother came over from Hungary when she was 21 yrs old in 1928. I still have family there I"ve never met. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer and kidney disease in 2001. He is in the "thriver" stage for his cancer now and the kidney disease is under control for the present so this is a very special trip. He always wanted to go while my grandmother was alive but ya know how time passes. He's been trying to plan one for the past few yrs and finally everything came together this year so my older sister and I are going with him to help him fulfill his dream! (damn: I'm gonna start crying!)

and I Loved the new French Boyfriend.....what a great description: he gave me his name today btw: Allez Rouge
