Hey Women, Just looking for some more ideas for riding music...I have a wide variety of musical likes.....Dislikes: opera, rap, and very twangy country. Right now I have: Boston, ABBA, Heart, Madonna, Beau Jocque, B52's, Queen, Mellencamp, and various Dance/House/Trance <- which I reeeeaaalllyyy like.

Do you listen to music while you're riding outside? My current thing is Cher. Not the disco stuff though.

I do listen on the road, however, I only use the right ear piece and don't have the volume up so high I can't hear anything else. It's just enough to get me going....

I've thought about doing that to get me more motivated to run. But, I'm not sure that would even work.

I do EXACTLY the same thing--right ear bud and low volume. But I only use it when I ride by myself. It does help motivate me.

I downloaded my favorite songs from my entire CD collection to my MP3 player. And anything that I felt would be good to ride to I catagorized as "cycling". So when I ride, I play the "cycling" genre and off I go. It's a pretty big variety for me, too... From the Beetles and Elvis to classic rock to old standards and show tunes to punk rock and maybe a little country... Whatever makes me feel like getting up and moving.

Got a coupla dogs you can have if you need motivation to run. If I don't run them at least 4 days a week - they break out: my bedspread, books, DVDs, the couch, etc. They both suffer seperation anxiety so anytime I change my routine and/or don't run them, they get anxious and pretty much destroy things. Great motivator to run!!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
