When I was little, I gave my sister an ant farm. She was 6 years younger. She was impressed. I gave her a shoe box filled with dirt and I had put as many ants in the box as possible. There was no lid. She kept it in her room a few days before my mother realized.
My mother was not pleased.
So, due to past errors in judgement, I might not send anything ant farm related!

Ok, I will give it a whirl this time around..will pm you CC with important info..the gift shop where I work just got in a book by a local author that i've heard is supposed to be good. Of course, maybe only because it pertains to local history so maybe not so good for everyone out of the area..but willing to send anyways. AND no ants for me, i have enough problems with them without any help.
