    The first thing I'd check is whether the padding is dirty. It's pretty easy to soak it with sweat, and it's pretty common to get irritated skin from that. And it's a quick easy fix

    If clean padding doesn't solve the problem, then look at things like lotion and hair stuff.

    It's not sweat (I don't sweat much and my helmet is fairly new) and it is the second I put anything on my head. I've always been like that. I do have to watch what hair products I use in my hair as some cause me extreme irritation, even making my scalp break out. Just one of those things I have to grin and bear.
    There are a lot of unwanted, unloved bikes out there - go on give a bike a good home
