Sounds like some good news in your general direction - hope you are specifically getting it as well - also hope a bit of grass growing warmth comes you way as well

    Hey,

RR..Just checked the forecast for Napier & the long awaited rain is on it's way!!! Hopefully the wind won't be too bad & you won't be blown away!

Sad news, did you guys hear that Augie Auer died? I loved him as TV 3's weatherman..

    YES!!!

    At last!!!

It started yesterday middayish, just as I was about to get changed to go out for a recovery - I stayed inside instead and spun on the spin bike.

The rain in the gauge this morning said 45mm... great to have the wetness, and this evening when I got home it looked like over another 20mm (but I don't do a proper check until each morning).

And the wind had gone yesterday morning too... at last - the gusty gales were wearing everyone thin.

Though the wind has had a purpose I guess, because there have been no frosts for a couple of weeks so there might me just a fraction of enough warmth for a little bit of grass growth - at least the fire ban will be off now.

Yes, listening to the news on the way to the work this morning I heard Augie had died. He's a household name really, and quite young. My partner says he had had some heart issues, but not enough for this to be expected.

CC... also heard that the Murray was overflowing on that Aussie Island and 9 people had died in the storms... I hope that wetness heads your way.
