which bike do you prefer? Felt or Scott

yesterday I rode both of them on the same route and the scott seemed so much easier on the legs in the exact same gear... and it was alot easier going up a hill but it just wasn't as comfortable on the upper body.. but that might be because it wasn't exactly my size..

I tend to agree that it may have had a lot to do with it not being your size. Did you talk to your LBS about this? Also, there's the possibility of getting the Scott and replacing the handlebars if they think that's a factor with the upper body. I'd talk to someone who seems knowledgable about fitting the right bike to your body and, if you'd like the nice feel the Scott gave your legs, see if they think they can fit you properly on one so that your upper body is comfortable as well. If they don't think a different size will make a difference, then that may help you make your decision.

I have a Felt F70, and I love her! When I picked her out, I also tried a Scott Speedster and I personally did not like it. It was simply too stiff. When I hit a bump, it felt like my whole body was going to explode, whereas Athena just glided over bumps and holes making me feel all comfy-like! So, I ended up with the Felt. The thing is...both are great bikes. Scott makes some great machines, it just was not my cup of tea.
