I am on there also and log after every ride or at least at the end of the week I will log all my rides. I keep a pad by my bike to write down the time and miles just in case I don't log write away.

I am still working on my commuting and errand bike which will bring in an extra 6 miles on days that I normally would have none. I agree, they do add up in the long run. My bike should be done by the weekend. The rack and bag are on, I just need to reconnect the something on the front brake.

OK--I joined TE there. I've been logging since April, which adds up to 894 km (all outdoors). Does that automatically get added to the TE stats, or do I have to do something? All the rides in my journal now list TE as the club, so I'm guessing the got added.

I joined yesterday and am still in the process of recording the 1445 miles I have ridden since I started last November.
Luckily I keep a log of all my rides with notes so transfering them to the journal is easy.

Pastrypam - save yourself a lot of work and entry the remaining miles under a "bulk" entry.

Heck - I simply wish I could ride this week - last week to ride before my surgery next week and no time on the bike. My dad and I are busting our a**es to get all the projects around my house finished before next week - just to tired to ride but boy would i love to log some miles. I've not checked my standing on BikeJournal this week for I know it will only upset me - worked so hard only to see it all slip away this week and the upcoming three weeks. Oh well - just numbers, right?

Like they say on bike journal....ride-log-repeat. I can't wait to log my miles, sometimes I do it before i shower! Nasty me!

I like to see my place in the standings, log, and then see how far I go up in the standings. It's fun and very motivating, I'm glad I got hooked up there. I know I am riding more because of it.

Oh never mind you will get back on that bike soon enough. If it makes you feel any better mate I wont be on my bike much for the next month or two. The kids will be on holidays and we will also be heading off on our annual road trip for about three weeks (no room for a bike with five bodies and all our gear in the car).
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.
