CONGRATS on achieving your goal!!! Isn't that about 3 times up Diablo (at least to the ranger station)? It's so satisfying. Your ride around town sounds familiar- I often do that also to get my required mileage in!

I think you need some treats for all that work!!

I won't tell you what I did partly because I did 2 centuries and a bunch of other rides including the one I did with you and crew! However, I didn't do Diablo which I consider worth many flat or partially hilly miles!

I'm going to have to get one of those computers for my bike that measures altitude gain....

Yeah! Hilly miles should count for more than flat miles. Maybe .5 mile should = 1 mile if it's a hill. I could get into this way of calculating mileage!

And a hill with a head wind is at least 2X more - right? But, do you have to deduct miles for downhills with tailwinds?
To train a dog, you must be more interesting than dirt.

Yeah!!Every foot of elevation gained has a corresponding downhill drop. So Veronica is really just a big slacker! She coasted down 11,275 feet!

I've heard of Lance training where he'll climb a mountain, then ride down in the team car, then ride up again. Veronica, maybe you should start leaving a car at the top of Diablo!

Total mileage for the month 399.8. 26,038 feet of climb.

Come on Nancy spill yours. We know you're a bike goddess. I want to be either you or Cher when I grow up.

Next month's goal is a little easier - 373 miles. I don't actually have a climbing goal. And I won't leave so many miles to be done at the end!
