OK, sorry had to be creative. Figured I get off my lazy bum and start the thread this week.
This is how my week is shaping up:
MONDAY- Swim Workout #1B
TUESDAY- Weights, 3 mile easy run. 25 mile group ride
WEDNESDAY- OWS practice
THURSDAY -4 mile easy run
FRIDAY-3 mile easy run
SATURDAY-15 - 20 mile easy ride
SUNDAY- Metroplex Sprint Triathlon
Looking like about 11 miles of running for the week.
Then... starting the week of June 11th, I start on my 18-week Half Ironman (HIM) training plan with my coach. We will be doing speed work during the week and distance on the weekends.
Of course, I'm still wondering what the heck I was thinking when I signed up for the HIM... but I keep reminding myself to be positive.
Shoot, I haven't even done a brick longer than 30/3.... but I time to get up my distance and endurance.

HA! Don't count on it. I won't be training for it. I will be training for my HIM in October...but not sure if I'll be doing any long distance rides before late August.
Last year I trained for HnH. This year, I'm just going out there to do what I can do. So don't worry.
So, you going to start running or what? Or you just lurking around this thread![]()

I feel like I can't keep up! So much training . . . so little time.
I had my first OWS this weekend. Actually, it was my first swim *period* in probably 6 or 7 years. It was frightening at first, but we floated for awhile until I got comfortable. I did a very slow 1000 meters. In just a swimsuit--no wet-suit. I live in Michigan. It was cold.
Today I had an interesting dilemma. I needed to get in a workout but DD really, really needed to go to bed. So, off to bed she went. Hmmm, couldn't leave the house to run or bike, didn't feel like doing tae-bo . . . so, I jumped rope in the garage for 5 minute intervals and then did sprints up and down are backyard. Not sure how to quantify this workout in the training log. My neighbors probably think I'm crazy.
Tuesday: 14 mi mntn bike, 2 mi run (brick)
Wednesday: 26 mi bike towing 40lbs trailer
Thursday: 7 mi trail run
Friday: 30-45 minutes weights
Saturday: run? bike? Can't decide
Sunday: Off to Atlanta! There will be a pool at my hotel, so hopefully I can get lots of swimming in.
3 mile run on the dreadmill today (i have no excuse, it was gorgeous outside, and it was dreadful inside on the 'mill) followed by a slightly schizophrenic swim class. I didn't even bother tallying yardage. If I'm lucky I broke 1000![]()
Early morning beat the heat run...oh so HUMID!!!!
4 miles in 35 mins.....it was good a Forrest Gump run, could have gone on and on....
Hope I stop sweating before school starts!

3 mile run in 27 mins, this beautiful and cool morning. Butt was still sore from sprinting at the end of my race on Sunday. Otherwise, feeling good!
Ran 3 miles at lunch. I had my watch on and even looked it when I started... then I completely forgot WHEN I started. I hadn't a clue what my time was. I guess around a 10:30 minute mile, I was feeling good out there.

3.4 miles, twice a week. On Friday I shaved almost a minute off my best time and broke 9 minutes per mile for the first time. Today was "back to normal" with a run of 9:12 per mile. I don't know where that speed came from on Friday, but I hope to rediscover it next Saturday for my 5k race.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

I decided to run tonight after all. It has been raining all day and I couldn't bike anyway. It finally stopped raining so I went out in the cool air and did 5km. Not fast 32:58. Ah well. I like running in the evening, cooler, nice in the dark, I'm focussed.
I'm not going to add to my long run this week because I'm doing my 5k Women's Run on Sunday. I am SO tempted to do the 10k instead but I know I am not ready for it. 6k is the longest I've done. But I keep thinking if I did 3-4k, then walked a bit, then did another 3k and then walked a bit... But no. I shouldn't. Too bad that don't have an 8k option.

Ran today, 3 miles right before swim class. Went out on the trail near me, and besides from some odd pain in my right lower calf the run went well enough, the trail was lovely and the temps good, the whole thing smelled like wild honeysuckle, it was so beautiful!

Went out and ran at lunch today. WOW! It is HOT and HUMID. I forgot my visor in the car, so my face didn't get any shade the whole way.
It was pretty good run time wise, but at points I felt so hot I just started walking. I did this about 3 times.
So, not the best run for me, although my time is solid.

Well, I ran 6.3 on Tuesday, ahead of the storm (25 mph gusts, sustained at 20 mph! fun!) . Felt great, and was looking forward to a nice run last night...there was a break in the weather (or so I thought), so I geared up and stepped outside just as it started to hail. Turned around and went back inside. Boy was I crabby. I decided to make cookies instead, and as I'm in the middle of that endeavor my neighbor calls and asks if I want to go for a W-A-L-K without the D-O-G-S. I couldn't leave my cookies(though I should have since using the mixer aggravated my tennis elbow...but DH didn't want to take over, even though the cookies were rechnically for him). Poor DH, having to put up with me last night.
Cloudy and showery today but hopefully I'll be able to get out this evening. For sanity's sake I need to. I'm always amazed at what just one cloudy day does to my psyche.
Yesterday I tried something new and went running in the morning before work. This worked out really well, it was 62 degrees when I started, and 72 when I finished 43 min later. The forecast for the afternoon was 80 with high winds (and indeed there were gusts up to 50 mph with 35 mph sustained). I'm glad I got my run done while it was nice out. Nice easy slow zone 1-2, felt like a slug getting passed by others zooming by (the "others" being perfectly toned size 2 20 year olds).Very pleasant run nonetheless.
