our weekly commute to church, 17 miles each way.
but DH is grounded, the doctor said No Road Bike, so we got him a recumbent and our ride takes a little more time but its a very nice, relaxed pace!
i ride his recumbent to work on saturdays because he doesnt work that day, and i took a different route home yesterday so decided to show him that route today.
its through papago park on the bike path and theres some very short-very steep sections i wanted him to experience. uphills are so hard on the recumbent!!
but i want him to be ready when he gets back on the road bike so i'm kinda pushing him. we probably did a couple extra miles on the circuitous route home.
    good ride but very hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did a lovely 16.3 mile ride with Raleighdon: I'll call it the Magnolia mix.
We went up and down hills and had a lovely time. it felt hot; on the way home I noticed it was 71 degrees. (But it's 84 now, so I'm glad we rode in the morning!)

Went on a 23 mile club "ramble" through Mill Creek with dh today. The pace was listed as social/moderate, which usually just means moderate pace with regroups and a lot of jockying for position 'cos nobody wants to be behind the fat lady (except for dddddh ). I managed to keep up for most of the ride, but was grateful for the "no drop" policy on the last couple of hills I was surprised to learn that there is more to mill creek than housing developments. There are actually farms and woodsy areas! who knew?! Hubby tells me we averaged 14mph, which is pretty good for me on rolling hills

I went on a beautiful long ride of 78 miles of lots of rolling hills and a nice climb up over Garden Creek with a friend. We had a long day but feel pretty.

Nice 23 mile ride...another beautiful day here in Northern CA.

I think I've reached a turning point here in the "Land Of Newbie-dom"...I'm really having a lot of FUN on my rides and I'm starting to notice the scenery more. Today I noticed a really neat old farmhouse that I've ridden past about 15 times now...I guess I'd never bothered to look anywhere else but straight down the road!

I had a nice 25 mile road ride planned, but got rained out. Rained hard most of the day here.

Road Bike Boat Bike with my brother. We did the 50 mile course through the North Fork part of the Hamptons, took a ferry to Shelter Island, road the route around there, ferry back and road through the hamptons to the starting point.

The food was good at the rest stops, ride well organized and they even had wipes in the porta potties.
