We stopped at a sporting goods store when we got to Bishop, picked up some extra tubes, a couple of Hammer Gels and a new purple jacket.

It had to be Wilson's Eastside Sports. What memories. I so love the east side of the Sierra.

Very clever!! "Forget" something at home, then get something new! (I'll have to remember that trick. Maybe I'll forget my bike one day.... )

How was the ride?? I hope you didn't get rain - I'm sure your jacket purchase guaranteed you didn't! I hope you had a great ride. I'm sure you're still driving. At least it is a pretty ride home!

Did you end up riding through that thunderstorm after the Sagehen rest stop, Veronica? I had lugged around my arm and leg warmers in my pocket for the entire ride and I gave them to George at that stop. We rolled quickly in an effort to just get through that dark cloud and as soon as the rain hit us, the temps dropped dramatically. Go figure...I hand off the extra clothing and then I need it.
