Been doing some short rides everyday for about 3 days now; today I went with a friend in downtown Nashville. We went to Radnor Lake and went down this cool hill- we reached 38.1 mph!
A grand total of 24.82 miles.

I didn't commute yesterday, because I thought it would rain (it didn't until night), so I did yoga and took a 2 mile walk. I needed my car today, so I decided to take a short ride when I got home. It was about 88 degrees and humid; you could tell a bad thunderstorm was brewing. I was wasting time when I got home, but i made myself go. I did SheFly's TT route, with the additional miles from my house. It was really hot, but I felt pretty good. My average was 15.6 for 15.3 miles and that was with going up the steep side of my street. Within five minutes of me arriving home the skies opened up and it is still raining and thundering.
I wanted to make 1,000 miles today, but I am about 36 miles short because of the weather. I am supposed to lead 2 rides this weekend, but both could be cancelled because on and off showers are predicted. Well, I'm still ahead of last year...
Just rode around town doing some errands this morning, and got a flat tire on the way home. It was hot and humid today--yuck!

Coastal MA was very nice today...just enough on shore breeze to keep the sweat away, but not so much that biking into the wind would be difficult...I did my usual 20 mile loop, but was not super ambitious, averaging 12.7 mph.
Now it is thundering all around us...not raining yet, but the storms are intensifying...glad I had time for a morning ride!
Such gorgeous weather. Commute ride is all I did, but I went up the steepest hill on my second chain ring because I couldn't shift down. But... that was interesting! Maybe I am getting stronger?
Tomorrow I have to figure out how to work a ride into the busy schedule.
Sunday too!
23.4 miles today. The boys both had their TT bikes out (of course with the HED disc rear wheel and tri-spoke front), in prep for tomorrow's State TT Championship. I, of course, was on my trusty Roadie.
And the boys passed me like I was tied to a post.Which I hope is not a sign of things to come tomorrow. But hey. What can I do? My TT bike won't be in until Monday at the earliest, so the Roadie it is.
Fun, fast ride, and now it is time to chug the Pedialyte (for the potassium) and get dinner ready. Think fast thoughts for me tomorrow! 35K as fast as my body will carry me. Eeesh!
