Sorry, it has been crazy with work and parenting in general! I haven't ridden much in the last 2 weeks, but have been on the treadmill more...I have heard that all the hotels are gone already, but I haven't looked into it yet. I would like to ride the hundred, but it would be fun just to ride in it again..I will look for rooms and let you know what I find. I would like to ride it, but I certainly am not as strong as I was last year ....Maybe we can suffer together again? I will keep you posted...AND whoever else wants to suffer along with us....

Not as strong as you were last year? Good! Then I can keep up with you!

Yea, we will see what works out. Sometimes in my cycling club people have rooms they need to pass on, etc.

That would be good....I am not having any luck yet finding rooms in Wichita Falls...I might have to stay in Vernon again, like last time...I should have known beter then wait this long to get a room! Lesson learned! Keep in touch...

By the way, who was dying on the side of the road a few miles from the finish line and you were goating me on? Maybe we helped both out ....

Heidi, I did a lot of leg work trying to find a hotel and I saved all the info. I'll forward you the availability I came across two days ago. It's pretty sparse inside the city limits.

Hello fellow Hotter N Hell crazy ones! I have finally registered myself and broke down and got a room in Vernon. It is a ways off, but it was an easy search! I look forward to riding it again this year..It was so awesome last year...Anyone that is riding, should we all meet and ride some miles together, or all? Just an idea...I don't have anyone to ride with at this time. Some people that I rode with in a group are going, but their avergage speed is about 17 mph for 40 miles. I know that I can not go that fast for longer then 40 miles....soooooo...looking for a fun ride....nothing too fast!

It is worth it for me to go to Vernon and pay 75 a night..then to pay 170 a night with a 2 night min! So, here is where I am staying. Days Inn, hwy 287 west @ Bentley. 940-552-9982...I am going to stay Friday and Saturday night. I am not sure if Lance will be in or not with his work schedule. If he isn't, I will have the room to myself..Bring on the dancers! LOL It looks like it is about 40 miles to the hotel. Could make it in 30 minutes or so....Still worth the miles compared to the price in WF.

Now, I just need to get back on my bike! Been 2 weeks! uhgggg! Talk to you soon and whoever else wants to meet for the ride!

Hey! What about this... Bowie? It's about 30 miles south of Wichita Falls. Closer and it's on my way from Denton.

We could share a room, and I found a Days Inn for around $45. Although, I didn't confirm the price. I'll also send you a PM about this.

Now, if Lance or Jonny decides to go...we will need another room, so maybe we can each reserve a room?

I signed up for the HnH today! No hotel rooms available so we will be staying at the Y. That's part of the whole experience IMO. I'll be sure to take some ear plugs. Do you all know your bib numbers? It would probably be unlikely that I could find you among 10,000 riders ...but who knows.
