Thanks, BikerZ. Bubba swapped over to SRAM on his Santa Cruz Superlight last year but he kept his Shimano cassette. I wonder if he knows the zoot factor he's missing out on.

On the otherhand, I'm the one with the good taste to have a red mountain bike, not him.

I'm a little embarassed to admit that I wish the red in the cassette was the same as the red of my bar tape

These are the things that make me faster on my bike:
    - red bar tape
    - red cassette
    - red sunglass frames
    - the carbon face on my Polar HRM (with red accents!)

If I had a entirely red bike ... wow - it's hard to imagine!
    Keep calm and carry on...

Yeah, but then you'd get too many tickets.

Absolutely, perfectly gorgeous!!! If I had unlimited funds and could choose any bike I wanted, a Seven would be at the top of the list. Enjoy!!

Love it! I think you have just the right amount of red to slip under the radar as a speed demon.

Oh, it was really not problem at all, because:

    1. I'm pretty good at spending $$, especially if it's not mine
    2. BikerZ wasn't that resistant to spending the $$

Seriously, though, it is a beautiful bike and suits BikerZ well. First ride on it, and she makes it up Jobob's Nemesis Hill. Pretty darned good, even if it was climbing under duress. (Doncha just hate it when you can't unclip, so you gotta keep pedaling up the hill? )
