I've never crashed my road bike. And every mountain bike crash I've had I've gotten up and ridden on - just a bit bruised and bloody.

My goal will be to surpass what I did in May, which isn't over yet.

School holidays start here next Friday so my goal for June will be to just try and get out on my bike when I can. I also want to try and get in the other hill ride I didn't manage in May.

Can anyone join in the "fun"?
I'd like to get at least 20,000 feet in June. Over a third of it should be in one ride, climbing Mt. Lemmon in Tucson. That has 7,000 feet of elevation gain in 27 miles and goes through something like 7 climate zones according to Bicycling magazine. Of course, if I don't make it up the mountain I'll have to think of something else.

Anyone can join the fun!! Welcome. I've always wondered about Mt. Lemmon. We regularly do El Tour de Tucson (dead flat of course ), and I have always wanted to give Mt. L a try when we're out there. I'll be interested to hear what it's like.

I never set a goal for May because I had no idea how much I was going to be able to ride. I ended up with almost 10K feet of climbing, so not too bad!

I'm shooting for 15K for June and I hope to surpass that goal. I also plan on doing at least one climb up Hanging Rock and one climb up Pilot Mountain (our two local 'mountains').

We've got a weekend trip planned for mid-July that will include some NICE mountain climbing, so I've gotta work on getting the goat-legs back.
