You should be doggone proud! You got out there and did it, and no matter how many people competed you took second (and almost had first). To your sister I would say: bite me lazy bum!

36 seconds can seem like an age and can seem like nothing - but however it feels, it is not alot, and to finish with a 36 second time difference means that was definately a race to the end... and the end after all is what matters most.

    Be proud of your medal.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

This saturday I have another MTB contest so I'll try to defend my silver medal Eventhough, there are 25 girls already signed in so this time my goal is to be if not second, than al least at the first 10.
I'll let you know if I succeeded or not. Keep your fingers crossed

    Good luck, iFKA.
There is an advertisement for Croatia tourism on tv ( Eurosport) and I think of you every time it's screened.

I wish more women entered mtb races! It's nice starting a race with only a handful of other people on the line instead of the big mob the blokes have to put up with, but it's so had to gauge your progress over the season when there's several minutes between you and your nearest competition either side.

Good luck iFKA! (I'm visiting Croatia for a week next month, actually. Poor bike has to stay home though - I'm doing a sailboat cruise.)
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
