Ugh, bodies are so *weird* sometimes, aren't they?
I took a long time playing around with different foods and timing to figure out the best way to keep my energy up and my stomach empty and the heartburn down on the days when I ride both to work and a little lunchtime ride. But offshift everything by an hour or add/remove a workout, and it's like I'm worse off than if I had just done nothing special at all.
Have you looked into Cytomax or some quick sugar to put into your waterbottle for days like this? Even after my ride, I find that it helps me not get the queasy-bonks before dinner.
