it's great when you can measure progress that way! going fast over hills is a good thing. I wish I could ride with you in Brooklyn. What time of the day do you go (I'm on the west coast, just curious here)

For the first time, today I did 3 straight full laps of Prospect Park in Brooklyn. A lap is 3.3 miles and there is one pretty mean (for me) hill. I also live downhill from the park, so I have a bit of a climb to get there. I tried my absolute hardest... much harder than ever before. So, door to door the ride was 11.2 miles. I did it in 48 minutes with an average speed of 14.1mph. On the hill, I never let myself dip below 9mph which is really good for me. The first time I took that hill (about 6 weeks ago) I went down to 6mph.
I'm really excited, cause that was so much better than I've ever done before. Yay!

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
