I'm on TV for Bike to Work!

So, a friend of mine asked my boyfriend and I if we wanted to be on TV with him for being commuters. Duh! Who wouldn't? So, we did the footage last week with our friend doing the interview and us doing ride bys over and over again. It aired this morning on the news. Last week, we were on the news for the ROS too!

Cool. Was Glen your boyfriend or is the other guy?

Will you be at the Horsey Hundred this weekend?

Pretty neat Jeni! Good publicity for Cincy cyclists. BTW, where was it filmed? It doesn't look like around UC, more like around the riverfront.

If you haven't done Horsey, it's definitely a "to do" ride.

No, I won't be at the Horsey but NEXT YEAR! I had promised to help a friend with his 400k brevet Saturday. This weekend is going to be busy anyway. 100 miles in the morning with the team, shower, run out the door to SAG Scott (the brevet guy) who starts at 5am and has to have his 250 miles done by 8am the next morning! Then I lead a group ride for my BF's bike shop that is a 100 miler on Sunday.

    So yeah,
Sat 100 miles with the team
Sun 100 miles leading a ride
Monday - sit and do nothing (actually, I think I'm leading the Monday Night Recovery Ride that night)

Silver and Mr. Silver - you guys doing the Hilly?

Geoff is the BF, in the green jersey with the green Orbea. Glenn is our good friend and UC professor. The footage was shot downtown by the purple people bridge in front of Montgomery Inn. We are all League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructors!

I was really excited to see that aired especially since we had news coverage of the Ride of Silence only 5 days earlier.

Great video Good to see cycling getting a higher profile - at least in America About time cycling was promoted more over here
There are a lot of unwanted, unloved bikes out there - go on give a bike a good home

    200 miles - Wow!

Yep, we'll be doing the Hilly. It may be an anti-climax if I can do the Horsey Century this Saturday though...but striving for the Hilly has kept me committed and my progress has been boosted as a result.
