I tell ya, I've never had good luck with skorts, especially the kind that have a kind of wraparound skirt. My baby belly just makes that part pooch out so bad. BUT, I was desperate for something to wear to a company event (at a college baseball game), and desperately out of time. We were in Wal-Mart getting food and stuff for the tailgating party, like at 10 pm the night before, and I picked up three different skorts off the rack, went home and tried them on. Two were too big, but one fit just great, and the skirt part (not wraparound) didn't hug my thighs too tightly. It actually looked decent! Of course, I haven't washed it, yet. Since it's from Wal-Mart, it will probably shrink.

I have the awful problem of my shorts always riding up due to thighs rubbing together. The shorts were no exception, but I didn't feel self-conscious about it because the skirt looked so good. So I'm going to be buying more skorts!

I'm always hot (except when it's the dead of "winter" here in California), so I almost always wear bike shorts. The Pearl Izumi Attack Shorts are my favorite. Who cares if someone else doesn't like the way I look in them? I regard them as necessary equipment. If someone thought my helmet looked funny, I'd still ride with it.

    Wear shorts and be proud!
