Maybe I'll ride with DD in tow anyway. I think some of the Starbucks around here are giving out free coffee to people who ride their bikes.

    I had a great morning!

I woke up before my roommate and was out of the house in 15 minutes. I biked down to the meeting point to bike from Shadow falls to Rice Park in Downtown St. Paul with the mayor. It was a great morning and I got to ride with people, which I have never done before (am too pokey for group rides). It was great to chat on the ride. One fellow asked me where I biked to work and I said, "I don't have a job, I just like biking!" and then I aked where does he work and his reply was, "At Regions Hospital, I am a cardiologist." Well yay for fun contrasts! They were all great to talk to. Then we cruised down to the park where coffee, bike store coupons, and REI gift bike bottles were awaiting us.

unfortunately, I couldn't stick around long because I had an appointment. From downtown st. paul you have no choice but to go up a monster hill. I have never been able to pedal the whole way up the Grand Avenue hill- but today I did it! that is a personal milestone. But it was worth it because then I had my massage appointment that I had to book it to. what a great day.

Now I am going to finish this ramble to eat up my favorite breakfast eggs in a basket, orange juice, and coffee (and may I say it is the best eggs in a basket I have ever made). thanks for reading about my great day.

It's raining like crazy here today, so no bike to work. I only commuted one day this week.
It's too bad, because I was going to arrange a ride after work and/or get people to ride in. But, when I saw the forecast, I decided it would probably be a lot of work for nothing.

I had a great ride today as well. I did a trial run of the commute last Friday and it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes but this time it only took me 1 hour and 30 minutes. I have a new cyclocomputer and am not sure if it counted the time I was stopped at the Pit Stop. The weather was kinda crappy: 50s, overcast, and a bit sprinkly but that's ok. It was great seeing everyone out on their bikes.

I nearly didn't commute to work by bike today as we had a strong WSW wind (i.e. headwind going to work). Anyway, I thought I'd brave it and at times I felt I was going backwards I usually take between 15 and 17 minutes to get to work. Today it took me 20 minutes.

By lunchtime the wind had dropped a bit and was veering round to the West so I had a side-wind on the way home. Bit hairy at times but I managed to get home in 16 minutes (uphill all the way). My best time has been 17 minutes until today and I upped my maximum and average speeds. Must admit my little legs were going like pistons LOL. I must be getting fitter

    My work lives with me!

He's my stoker, though. Hmmmm, maybe I'll have a bike with work day today.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.
