    First Win!

    Hey All -
Thought I would share my second road race ever resulted in a first place finish! It was 40 degrees and raining - the typical Northwest racing weather. The best part? My mom witnessed my first win and filmed the finish line on camera. At the 200m mark I started sprinting and looked back at 100m to go expecting someone on my tail - and no one was! I pulled through the finish line with one hand on the handle bars and stopped pedaling. And then my mom realizes it's me...

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Really great video. I just loved your Mom's reaction. (Not having yelled something like that myself, ever. Oh, no.)

Huge Congrats! I'm so happy for you... the video got a chuckle from me... how can you not chuckle at the sheer excitement and elation evident in your mom's voice? Very, very cool!!!

Awesome!!! Huge congratulations - I admire and applaud your accomplishment! Having two of my three 'boys' participate in sports I can totally relate to your mom's reaction. Gave me a chuckle picturing the eye rolling I would get if my son's could have seen that video!

    Way to go
