Two weeks ago the 70 mile long ride was tuff! I felt those chills in the last 10-12miles or so, but just kept trying to drink, drink, drink! And I finished, but did not feel so hot.

Not to be gross, but my urine after that ride was really, really dark and just a tad painful. Checked it out with my doc and she said NO bladder infection. Whew! What a relief.

This past Saturday was our longest training ride at 80 miles. I was worried about the heat as it was approaching a high of 90 that day. I upped my intake of 50/50 water and gatorade that I keep in my bike bottle. I was so sick of that fluid by the end of the ride, but I know I needed it.

I also ate three bananas along the way; first stop, with lunch (PB&J) and one about 12 miles from finish. At that last stop I saw a bottle of Smart Water in the little store...cool water and with electrolites too!! I chugged that with the banana and finished strong! I felt great! (oh yeah, I eat cliff bars along the way too).

And to top it off, my urine was pale in color all day! Swwweeeeettt!!! LOL I finally hydrated properly!! Yippee!!!

It may sound silly, but I was so excited about not only finishing, but finishing strong and feeling good too! I really feel I have come so very far in the 16 weeks that I have been training with TNT.

This week is a short taper back ride at 50 miles. Thanks so much for y'alls help!
