Got in 5127 Feet yesterday! Woohoo! (and saw 2 bears) Here are some internet pictures of where I was, although I didn't take these (and I apologize that I do not have the name of the photographer...they were from a personal traveler's website...not a commercial photographer)...there was a lot more snow up there yesterday.

    How's everyone doing?

wow, Starfish - what a beautiful place you have to ride!!!

our death ride training ride yesterday was about 8000 feet. I may be closer to 30 for the month.

That's a good number, SB. Remember, everyone's got different terrain to ride on and is training for different goals. (In one double century last month I got 19,000 feet, and I am coaching a group for the Death Ride - 14,000 feet in 130 miles. But... I have friends who climb WAY more than I do every month.) Compare yourself to yourself! Do more next month than you did this month, etc.

Good advice for every single time someone asks "how fast do you ride?" or "how many miles do you ride?"

It is truly gorgeous when the weather's good. Today it was back to heavy gray overcast, mountains shrouded in clouds, and cold wind. It is green for a reason! But, when it's good, it's very, very good.
