Well Wahine you beat me to it... I was going to suggest the same technique for getting out of bed.

Mary, that is the technique that I was told to use after I had my back surgery, it works really well, and I even still use it as it is a lot easier on the back.

Glad to hear that everything went well, rest up, you'll be back on the bike in no time!
