Age (general or specific) Turned 50 on 2/22. Determined to make my 50's my best decade.

Occupation: Communications Specialist with the Schuylkill River Heritage Area.

Favorite bike: Trek Hybrid (entry level model.)

What's in your stable? 1980 (more or less) Schwinn Caliente 10 speed. Rust color, non-quick release tires, weighs a ton.

Fastest speed on a road bike? who knows. I ride for pleasure, not competition.

Most memorable moment on my bike: vacation in Outer Banks, NC. Hurricane Jeanne decided to go inland. Took bike for a ride up the bike path in Nags Head. Thought - boy, this really is easy riding at the shore. Turned around to go back to house and realized I had a very strong tailwind helping me along. It was now a very strong headwind, and it took me much longer to return.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Rails to Trails PA Bike Sojourn in 2004. NorthWestern PA sagged ride for 3 days. First time on bike for consistent 30-40 mile a day ride. Loved it. Want to do more.

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? Once when I was a kid I went down a big hill, hit a bump and flew off. It was probably pretty fast.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Not sure I've ever actually lied (except instinctively, as a child, to my parents). =)

Most memorable moment on my bike: Nothing memorable yet.

Most fun ever had on a bike? The neighborhood kids and I used to ride really close together in formation, pretending to be the Air Force Blue Eagles. (We wrecked a lot too).

What's in my stable: '92 Specialized Crossroads, soon to be forced into retirement, rusty old Schwinn racer, early sixties, the kind you have to back pedal to shift! It was fun when it worked! Now I don't have the heart to get rid of it.
My fastest speed on a road bike: I don't know, I go so slow now I should probably ride on the sidewalk.

Most memorable moment on a bike? Hmm... Trying to mountain bike on my mother's giant pink Schwinn cruiser? Accidentally running over my little friend when I was seven years old?
Most fun I've had on a bike-all the fun riding I used to do on that old Schwinn racer.
