I know what it's like when you stop exercising. I was a devout cyclist and runner in Calif but when I moved to WA, the weather got to me. I started to try to go out in the rain, etc., but eventually gave it up. I would work out sporadically (like go to the gym after work) before I met DH but when I met him, I'd go to his house all the time! He's thin by nature and is always active and sometimes we would be active but not enough and my clothes ceased to fit comfortably![]()
We're now training for a century and I am doing a sprint tri in Sept so I have goals. I can wear the clothes that were too tight before but when I get puffy they are still too tight! I realize it's a slow process though and I don't obsess. Or at least I try not to! I'm not used to being out of shape and it's frustrating.
I do think one good thing about it all is while I don't diet (but I try to make healthier choices, of course) after I ride I crave water. If I didn't ride, I'd probably be drinking wine or something![]()
