    Hey Girls!
Okay so I'm new to the forum, but I'm sooo glad that I found it because I'm short of fellow girls that do this!

I really really need advice for a good women's trathlon saddle for a 1/2 ironman that I'm doing here in a month, and all I have is a road saddle, which is great for road riding, but SUCKS for time-trialing! Is there anything that doesn't cause numbness in the aero position? What saddles have been the best???

Thanks so much for the advice!

Welcome to the boards!!! When is your race, and which one are you doing??

I have a Terry Butterfly and LOVE it. Raced all last season on it (that included doing an IM and the 2800 miles- mostly all in aero- associated with it). I know there are a ton of comfy saddles out there, but I really like the Terry.
I had a Terry Liberator X on my mtn bike and really liked that one, too (until DH borrowed my bike and wrecked it-including the saddle- now it's just got a cheapy on it).

This is the saddle that I have on my tri bike. It's the best I've ever used.

It's not cheap, but peeing without pain after a long ride is priceless. I used the Terry Fly before this. After a while in the aero position it just abused my girly parts.

I am doing the long course at the Dueces Wild Triathlon Festival, so not the official, but still the longest race I've ever done!
Thanks I am going to check those out!

    tri-saddle

I am using the FIzik Rondine on the tri-bike. Used it for my training and in Ironman Arizona.
My bike originally came w/the Fizik Arione, which was too narrow.

I really like the Rondine; have plenty of thigh room but supports the 'sit bones'. It is also cheaper than the Arione (about $75). I got it from trisports.com.

    good luck,
    Laura

Hey, would you want to buy a Butterfly Ti Saddle for $60? It's half price and brand new.

I bought it back in Nov. 2006, and rode it for all of 150 miles, before replacing it this month. My friend told me to try to take it back since it's still brand new looking, but I never go to that LBS.

If you want it shipped, we would add shipping. Otherwise, I could give it to you the next time you are in Dallas.
