Fabulous ride!
I was nowhere near back in shape from my headcold that hung on for-ever, but I really wanted to ride at least the first part of the 200K route. I'd never been up Coleman Valley Rd before and I was told by many it was not to be missed.
It was a slog to get up to the ridge on CVR, with a couple of (thankfully brief) 20% sections.You know it's getting steep when you get the sensation that the front of your bike is about to tip up and over. gahhhh.
As I was plodding along on that last steep section I was muttering to myself This better be worth it!!.
But when I reached the top, these are the views I was rewarded with. Yeah, it was well worth it!
