I did my first brick today!! It was awesome! It was short!

DH & I did a quick & easy 7 mile ride, then I hopped off and ran a mile around the block. It felt really good!

Did a 30 mile ride and then 3 mile run brick on Sunday.

Yea, uuummm... it was my worst yet.

The bike was great, I did some interval work and kept a good average of around 17 mph (at the end). I was so happy that my neck and back didn't hurt after 30 miles of mostly areo position.

Then I went to run. Got a horrible side cramp 2 minutes into the run. Tried doing 1 minute walk intervals to get rid of it. Then it hurt to walk! The run turned into a 3 mile/40 minute walk. UGH. Worst brick yet. Wasn't my day.

Way to go MDHillSlug! That's awesome

Yay MiniSkirt, I like the idea of starting simple and easy so the whole concept doesn't leave a bad impression.

KSH - sorry about the side cramps. I've been reading about your battle with them with interest. I get them pretty badly if I have anything to eat within 2 hours, or drink within 1 hour of running. But I think I remember you saying you figured out yours was because of breathing. I hope you get it sorted out. That sucks if it hurt to even walk!

Saturday I swam and then rode, but there was a quick rinse, a short drive home, a change of clothes, and a change of a flat in between, not that I was trying for any sort of immediate transition. On the ride I was having some sort of serious saddle issue that I've never had before and I've been in pain since Saturday evening. I think I know what the problem was, but I won't go into the gory details. I really hope this goes away soon, I was planning to ride tomorrow. Right now I can barely sit in a chair, ouch .
The best part about going up hills is riding back down!
