My bike club hosted a Cinco de Mayo/Tailwind ride on May 5. We had an amazing ride this year. The wind was from the east at 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40. We headed west. A few hills at the start and then pretty darn flat roads. 21 riders and everyone made 100 miles. For some, it was their first century ever. Yay! For me, it was my second sub-5 hour century. And not even sore today. That wind was amazing! I was spinning out, out of gears, at over 30 miles mph at some points in the ride. That NEVER happens. What a day! Will probably never happen again, so we all savored this one time.

p.s. We had a bus to bring us home into that horrendous wind. I felt sorry for the bus! The gas mileage must have been horrendous.
Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived." Captain Jean Luc Picard
