Well, that's a little bit of it. BUT....the main reason I don't care for Camelbaks is that if you're not used to them, you (or at least I) notice them a lot. They bother me. The more you load them down, the more noticeable that weight is. I'm small (105 lbs, 5'2"), so that may be why the extra weight on my back and shoulders is annoying. Also, riding in hot NC summers, I don't want anything that will make me sweat even more than I normally do. I ride with other gals who swear by them, but to each her own, in cycling as in anything else!
