Love my AV buffs. Since I got them, I have worn one on every ride. No more "helmet hair" or sweat in face, etc.

No more helmet hair, yeah, but MAN, does my hair look horrible when I take off the buff!
Which is why you need a versatile buff in stylin' fun colors that you keep ON even after the ride when hangin' in the shop, the parking lot, or wherever you happen to meet folks, if that's where your ride brings you.

When all my buffs are in the laundry, I opt for a do-rag.

    Wow Zen! Wow!

I use a buff, too - a mighty pretty one at that. It's odd how this thing is great is hot weather and great in cold weather. How does that work exactly? I wear it at work (under the bee veil), working at my computer when my bangs drive me crazy, to wick sweat when putting up a fence, and, oh yeah - on the bike

Zen! I betcha your hair goes wispy through the helmet holes! Mine might do that if I allowed it but I attempt Strict Control at all Times.

I don't know how the buff does it. It keeps my head/neck warm when it's cold out and yet when it's warm or hot, I don't get too hot with it on. I haven't noticed that postride buff hair is any worse than generic postride hair but perhaps I'll experiment.

Another buff convert here. My hair's just long enough to get in a little ponytail, but the buff contains the loose stuff and really does keep sweat and salt out of my eyes. In cold weather I wear it like a balaclava. It's thin enough to breathe through but keeps my face warm and, more important b/c I'm asthmatic, warms the air I breathe in so I don't cough as much. I don't know how I lived without 'em.

    awesome!

Can you buy buffs in stores such as EMS / REI or is it an online order only?

REI has them in the summer, but doesn't stock them in the winter. Was at my local REI today, they had several to choose from. I resisted.
