Trekhawk, that Anaerobia jersey is very slick.

I also love my AV jersey. In fact, on my last club ride, I got a compliment on it from the guy leading the ride. He said "you win the prize for best jersey." I do think it's very striking with the red and green.

Mostly I try to wear my Velo Bella jersey, just to get it out there so people see it and maybe think about joining our team. Interestingly, I get more waves from other cyclists when I'm wearing my Velo Bella jersey. I think local clubs tend to acknowledge each other more than they do other random riders. Just my crazy theory.

Voler (Velo Wear) has some good jerseys for women, and they're cut very nicely, too. They seem to change their styles a lot, and have good sales, so it pays to check the site periodically.

I clearly have not adjusted to cycling fashion because I pretty much hate the idea of my jerseys looking like they should be on a Nascar car.

Haa haa Pooks! I hear ya!! This thread kinda proves we are all individuals with our own taste! Good!!

Some I wouldn't be seen dead in I did hear a very funny comment when it was announced that Lotto was going to be sponsored by predictor...'shouldn't the jersey be white with two red stripes?' I've met Robbie McEwen in his predictor jersey and he wears it well (surprised how 'compact' he is though)

I wouldn't wear a pro team jersey either. Currently have two Body Torque tops, one is pink and white and the other 2 blues (yeah I love that blue kit someone posted a pic of) They are female specific, which means bit wider on the hips, no elastic in the sleeves or around the bottom of it. Good idea!

Pooks - team jerseys = Nascar ohhhhh that hurts! I tend to agree, though...

I have one team jersey - from my son's cycling team - and I proudly wear it, though I would not wear a jersey from any other team. I also have a couple jerseys from centuries I have participated in. They do have sponsors on them, but I am proud to wear them because to me they are a sign of an accomplishment.

Pooks, totally agree on the team jersey. I'll wear their sponsors logo if they pay me.

I've been lusting after this jersey from Salsa:

    (Mimi, it's orange).

    NASCAR? What's wrong with Nascar?

Nothing....if you like sitting in the sun, drinking beer & eating who-knows-what-they-sell-in-those-concession-stands, breathing exhaust & gas fumes and watching men drive cars around in circles at an insanely high speed....

IFJane, I'll agree with you here: I'll be pretty proud to wear event jerseys someday when I get some, cuz, yeah, they're "trophies" of a sort!

As a rule I won't wear any jerseys I haven't earned, which means that I don't have any team jerseys except 2 mid- to late 1980's vintage, obscure Euro-team jerseys that DH (a.k.a. eBay Boy) won cheap on eBay b/c they were from the same era and/or teams that rode the old steel Merckx Corsa Extras like mine. I figure after almost 20 years, no one in Southeastern VA will remember or even have heard of those teams and if they have, they'll just dismiss me as a nerdy, middle-aged Fred-ette having a retro-day (oui, c'est moi!) and stay far away from me! I do wear event jerseys and those from the cycling clubs we belong to, such as the RABA jersey that John (jeannierides) just posted.

I just got an email from a friend of mine who wanted to know if I ever had any luck selling bike jerseys on Craigslist (no), as she has nearly a hundred (!) jerseys from various events, races, and tours she's done over the years. She's trying to do a "purge" of them, and is fighting against the sentimental attachment. I suppose, if you've been around on the bike long enough, you pick up more than a few trophies! Too bad she's not my size!

I sold one on CraigsList once - but it was a brand new Discovery jersey that I won during the TDF on the OLN online game. It went very quickly.
