    The look of woemen's jerseys

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Am I the only one that doesn't particularly like the look of most women's jerseys? I'm also getting tired of the basic solid color with a black accent piece along the sides or shoulder. I love the look of the pro team jerseys. They are so colorful and interesting to look at with all the sponsor names etc. But I would never wear one - the whole poser factor. But I wouldn't care if someone else wore one so don't flame me, okay? Not into the cartoon character jerseys either. Seems like a lot of the women's jerseys are too....girly....for me. I'm more of the sporty type of girl than high fashion. I like the jersey at the top of this page...different, sporty, no flowers. So, does your club have a cool jersey or did you get a really cool jersey from a tour somewhere? Anyone have any links to cool jerseys?

Edit: Oops. Sorry about the typo on the thread title. Someone please fix that for me so I don't look like a TOTAL idiot.

My fav to wear at the moment are the Shebeest leopard print (blue and gold) jerseys. I have a ss of the blue, and sleeveless version of blue and gold. LOL.. I wear it and it reminds me to attack hills like meat to ..well.. a leopard! LOL GRRRR.

I know what you mean though about all the boring stuff for women out there... You're not the only one!

You're not a poser if you wear a pro team jersey and I agree some are very pretty (the jersey - not that guy): This is Francaise des jeux.

My faves are zerorh+ but I don't know if they can be found in the US...
It's a little secret you didn't know about us women. We're all closet Visigoths.

I know what you mean, and if you are a "plus size" rider then your options are even MORE limited. Although I do like the TE MT Borah Jersey I bought. I also bought a really nice one from Nike at the LBS last night. It was funny though, they had a U.S. Air Force one and I tried to get DH to get it and he looked at me like I was insane. Then he said why, they aren't paying me to wear it.....ahhh good point.

Sadly, I've found the brands I like based on looks, are a lot more expensive. I really like the looks of etxe ondo products and some of the assos, but they're super expensive. I'm sure they're highly engineered and justify the increase in cost, but DH just wouldn't allow me to get it!

I agree with you though, I'm tired of cartoony jerseys and solids with black or white accents.

I love this jersey in the orange and black print. I've been wearing it about 2-3 weeks now, not continously though.

Soon I'll be riding in the club clothing and you sorta got to agree with using them the whole season round, even during training (there is even a clubclothing rule book). On the other hand it also costs very cheap (due to the sponsors on it) for high quality stuff. So no more choice for me

I like the looks of these two. I like the salmon color of the Pred-Lotto and the Pink/Blue combo of Lampre.

Do you have a pic of the kit?

You're not a poser if you wear a pro team jersey
Anyone know how to start a voting thread?

Nope, not the only one. I do not wish to look like a gaudy American tourist or a couch from some doctor's waiting room, nor do I want to feel I'm going to be chased about by hungry bees. I just want a nice brightly colored jersey with a little zing to it. Like my old Yeti and LBS jerseys but in women's cuts.

Though I'm not big on character jerseys I could be persuaded to wear this amongst friends to egg them on when (ok, if) I pass them.

Except the part where my 3 year old can read now.......and is my stoker.

The TE available bright red Wild Things and red Curious George are agreeable enough.......and not my size.

I don't want to be adorable, I want to be seen.

Maybe I'm just paranoid and maybe it's so completely obvious to motorists, but I try not to draw attention to the fact I'm a woman when I'm out there, but most especially when I'm alone.
