Pedal Float

There are some (like Speedplay Frogs) that have tons of float and zero-pressure release. You essentially just "float" your way right out of them. In that case float is sort of related to easy release, but it's a different kettle of fish from most pedals.

Lots of pedals let you adjust all that to suit your preferences.

I'm with you, Knot! I have Speedplay X's & I love them. VERY easy to get in/out of and lots of float. I tend to have knee issues so they work best for me.
