The worst I ever saw was a mom with a child on the back of her bicycle in a child seat. She also had a baby she was carrying in front in one of those little sling deals. Not a helmet in sight--neither child nor her!!! She had one hand sorta around the baby. In retrospect I realized I should have called the police--talk about child endangerment....And--she was just about to cross some railroad tracks.
Tis better to wear out than to rust out....

OMG, that is something I would expect to see in India or Vietnam as that is their MAIN form of transportation but that is just ridiculous. I panic everytime Kaitlyn takes her helmet off when she's in her trailer and we are on a path!

Ok, I admit it. Terrible mom over here on the left. When my son went to kindergarten we had about 700 m to walk home, and I'd always come to pick him up on my bike. Quite often he managed to talk me into biking home with him sitting on the handlebars... me with a helmet, him without

To my defence, your honour, I'd like to state that my hands were gripping the brakes at all time, I would never wheel faster than about jogging speed, there were no cars around (residential area) and in case of losing control I was prepared to grab my son in both arms and then fall over.

So I think I'd be the one to crack a shin, actually. Didn't stop us getting some very startled looks.

Sure was a good way to work on balance!
