Maybe I shouldn't have included that.
The ranch had this mutt of a dog. she decided that I was her "buddy". when I went to the bathroom on Sunday morning, I left the tent fly open, and she decided to sleep on my bag. Once I got her out of my tent,she spent the next half hour whimpering outside my tent.
Yeah it needs some proofreading. life's getting a little too much here.

Fredwina was awesome! I have so much respect for what she did out there this weekend. She is now my new official heroine! My friend Lois and I waited for her till 10:30 when we thought she should be coming into Flagstaff and then decided to ride out and and hope to see her when we were on our way back into town again. We rode a ways out, looked for the ospreys at their regular nest (did not see them), started riding back, took a little climb detour off the side of the main route and started back to town. And, there she was, Fredwina on her silver and red Cannondale! She looked, I looked and we both turned around. Eventually, we got turned around going the correct direction and we said hello and talked a bit. It is a huge, hard climb up to where she was and Fredwina was tired but hanging in there! Trust my ladies, this woman has more determination and than most! Good Job fredwina. You did great!

I think I mostly recovered. Have a little bit of a UTI (which is i'm laying off the crazy rides for a while - I got one at the last 300K, but this is not as bad), some sunburn, and a sinus infection(accounts for my goofy english ).
Weather - I had on tights, arm warmers, and a jacket at the start. I went down to just shorts and a jersey when we got to sedona. I was ok until I got to VERY end of Lake Mary and on to 87 (can't recall the town name, but It was near the Happy Jack lodge). The wind had really started to pick up. I stopped at fourth control and put my jacket and tights back on. I figured I would need them on the descent (You lose about 4,000 feet in 15-20 miles)

Fredwina - I'm impressed! Congratulations! Being a former Arizonan (and Flagstaff resident) I was imagining the route in my head. There were some big hills out there

Very impressive! Another former Zonie who is scared just driving on 89A. Those climbs are monstrous!
