My first post on this forum (last summer? on "health issues") was about a lump like that... speaking of TMI. "Hi y'all, my name is lph and I have a vaginal problem"

It hurt like <insert favourite invective here>, and took several weeks to disappear. I had a raised, flat hard lump on either side and had trouble sitting.

I tried not riding for a few days, not sitting , washing often, shaving, not shaving, cooling balm, no underwear under biking shorts and wearing boxer shorts otherwise (cotton - no synthetics). I have no idea what exactly made them go away. But they did recede and disappear in the end.
Winter riding is much less about badassery and much more about bundle-uppery. - malkin

Search for "saddle sores" - you'll also get lots of useful info in those threads.

Alot of the girls here use "pimple" creams - even on blind infections. I use aftershave after a ride/shower, that helps too.

I have fewer bumps/infections if I trim, rather than shave.

If not treated, they can become cysts... remember, thats why Lance didn't realise he had testicular cancer, he thought the lumps and bumps were 'normal'.

I know a couple of people who have had golf-ball size lumps in their groin from cycling (yup, I felt them... after being asked - "is this normal?" ) and often time will fix them. But you may need to seek a doctor's advice.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
