Oh WOW, you guys!!! What an amazing bunch of posts to find when I just now signed on today!!!

Thank you ALL!!!!

I am having a lovely birthday... my two daughters called and the one who is working on her masters in metal work made me a jewelry pin with little blue glass raindrops hanging down (April showers, get it?) So sweet.
Seeing the other one tomorrow and she apparently has something for me too! She just got back from AZ and I am bringing them 2 cacti from my little home collection so they can remember AZ whenever they look at them.

My wonderful DH asked me a few days ago what I would like, and I really couldn't think of any material ITEM I wanted or needed. (except a new B67 Brooks to replace my B17, which he is ordering today, which should fit my very SHAPELY GIRLY BEHIND much better!) But I asked him to take me out for breakfast and then a bike ride this morning together, so that's what we did!
I had French toast with bacon and a TRIPLE espresso skim latte, then we had a perfectly lovely 17 mile ride in the cold foggy morning- I could see my breath! It was so refreshing and nice. The forsythia are FINALLY in bloom here- a late Spring.
I might go out later to pick up a few gardening things for fun. My fragrant white narcissus bed is starting to bloom today- just for my birthday! I will bring a perfumed bouquet with us when we go visit my older daughter in Northampton tomorrow. We are going to stay overnight there with them. My daughter's partner (my "daughter-in-love") is having a play she wrote performed there, and we must go see it! The production was partially funded by the NEA, and it's a great theatre troop, so it's kind of a big deal and we are very proud. Can't wait! It will be like a mini-birthday vacation for me.

Again, thank you all so much for your sweet messages- I feel like you are all friends and part of the big Family of Women in which we are ALL sisters.
