Great Gift I have to share

My best friend in support of my ride this past weekend wrote this poem for me, no one in my family thought I would or could actually ride in the BP MS 150. (I did!!) I loved this poem so much I just had to share. It is true of all of us!
Her race has just continued
only the peddling is new
This race began long ago
yet seen or understood by few
She is Determined
For her, life is a challenge
one that should be embraced
Fearless angst she grabs a hold
claiming victory in the chase
She is Determined
What the rest could learn
If they gave this vital ride a chance
To see beyond the why or can't
but rather took a supportive stance
She is Determined
Yet approval is not needed
She'll ride as she always has
Down one road and to the next knowing
God will lead her path
She is Determined
