PedalWench -- I'll keep an eye out for your stuff.

SouthernBelle -- you have room in your GARAGE? Wow. Want to clean mine out?

    RogueDog -- ::smirk::

    Okay, now I'm embarrassed.

For two or three days, I've been looking for these shoes. And my husband said, "Are these your shoes?" and I said, "No, those are yours," and kept looking.

So this morning I'm looking under my bed (again) and I see my husband's shoes on the floor on his side of the bed.

Not in the living room, ahem.

I've been walking past/over/by my shoes the whole time.

    Thinking they were his.

I think I will go ride now.

“Hey, clearly failure doesn’t deter me!”

Pooks, I can understand this! Over our years of cycling together, and those good years when we could afford to each buy whatever we needed/wanted, whenever we found something great, we'd both buy it. Not that we like to look like the "bobsie twins", but when something works, why buy something different?

Luckily the GPS/HRM units tell us the name when we turn the power on, and his chest strap is considerably larger than mine, but they are otherwise identical. And then there are the prescription riding glasses. First road ride we did together this year and the first half of the ride was so awful for me...it was cold, and I was terribly out of sorts, and my glasses seemed to be kind of....dirty...smeary....blurry. We stopped about halfway through and I realized I was wearing *his* prescription lenses!! He even has holes drilled in the plastic outer lens to reduce fogging and I didn't notice until then! Once we swapped, the ride got better!

Enjoy your reunion with your dear shoes and have an awesome ride!

    Hugs and butterflies,

One of my vehicles is sitting outside for the summer. Less room in the winter. But I am planning a garage sale....

Too bad bike shoes are not like cell phones where you can call them to find the phone, or like the lady in the storage space commercial who clicks her car key thingy to locate her car under all the stuff in her garage.

I lost one of my SmartWool gloves. I won't likely be needing them for a while, but I'm so bummed about it.

    All may not be "lost".

Two weeks ago a ring fell off of my finger, and I thought it landed in the garbage can at week. Last night I discovered it in my backpack.

Here's to all lost things being found!

When I couldn't find my bike lock a couple of months ago, I called my dad who lives 3000 miles away, and he talked me through looking for it (it was under a pile of stuff in my spare room???). Maybe try calling some distant relative for assistance?
