Anyone doing this at the end of May?

I'll be in San Diego for business and am bringing my bike. I'm going to slog it up the mt. and I know I'll be slow.

If anyone is up for this ride let me know! I'd love to have some company!

here's the webpage for the ride in case anyone wants/needs it!

last year was the first year of this ride.... even so.... it went smoothly! i think he got a lot of good info out if it, so i expect that this year will be even better! (and he's always open for suggestions! i know i emailed him several suggestions BEFORE the ride last year... like an earlier start time and having ICE available..... i'm tellin' ya... that ice was NICE to add to your water bottles when you refilled them!!!!!!!!!!)

it's a nice, but challenging course (the palomar part isn't the hard part of the ride.... the hard part is climbing back up mesa grande on the way back!)

make sure you take the time to check out the observatory if you've never been... it's very interesting!!!!! and the scenic overlooks are breathtaking! (last year one of the rest stops was at an overlook.... gorgeous!!!!!!!)

and start early if the weather is predicted to be warm, if you aren't used to it! i loved it last year, cuz of course... i'm used to riding in the heat... but there were some here didn't like it so much!

    have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a some hill climb. And its really dry up there. Also don't forget to send a post card from Mt. Palomar post office. Cancellation on the post card will say Palomar something... Also watch out for rattle snakes. Lots of 'em up there. Some of the vista's are really reaally beautiful A must with a camera.

I'm in no shape so have lots of fun. I thought just going up palomar was hard enuf.
