I run a kiosk/ canteen at our local high school.
So that is a bit of everything - sandwich making, pastry-baking, sweets and drinks selling, listening-ear, advisor on matters great and small and provider of small practical solutions (eg safety pin, scotch-tape), homework help, weather forecasting, stand-up comedy.
Plus I make bread, youghurt and cheese for the household and do any "complicated" kitchen work (eg cakes).
Plus I am mother to DS#1 (19), DD (18) and DS#2 (14)

Sr Research Coordinator at a breast care center, offering National Cancer Institute (NCI) trials to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, part time I am a pharmacy technician and mix chemotherapy.

I went back to school and graduated last year to be an X-ray tech. Also have a computer/electronics engineering degree. I mostly got into building servers, refurbishing/fixing computers, desktop publishing, laser imaging, ... I didn't really like it so much so that's why the return to school. I love what I do now. I've just moved to OR from PA (I love having a career where I can easily do that) and am waiting to start my new job. The best part is, I'll be able to ride to work now. Yea!!

Wow, what an amazing spread of jobs we have.

I work for a network security software company. My husband works here, too, and writes software. My job is a little harder to nail down, so I won't bore you with the details. Suffice it to say, I work a lot, and do a lot of different things.

We sell our software on a big beefy server to a lot of banks, hospitals, public utilities, retail companies, you name it. Basically, it monitors the security of the network and lets you know when something's up. Interesting stuff, if you're a total nerd.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker - and Director of an HIV/AIDS Service Organization. I love it. I also do training/supervision consulting work in social work.

I'm a full time undergrad student (at 39!) majoring in geology. I like rocks

I'm a senior, but I'm looking at 2 more years til I graduate.
I'm taking the scenic route through school. I do a bit of research and teaching assisting on campus for pocket money.

Many years teaching the Writing Program at Rutgers Univ
A brief stint teach HS English ran screaming from the building. (Loved the kids - didn't play well w/ my supervisor)
Returned to Rutgers for a few years before making a switch to IT.

The last several years teaching IT at Monmouth Univ. while I began to work freelance teaching teachers how to integrate technology into the classroom.

Now my consulting business teaching IT to teachers and administrators is getting so busy I'm considering leaving MU.

What's nice is that in spite of all the hours I spend working - most of it I do on my own schedule so if it's nice I can be outside during the days.

Of course, as those of you in education know, none of this pays much at all.

I am a child development specialist for a school system in Virginia, working in their Head Start program and serving children from birth through age 5.

Pharmacy Tech to help pay a few bills. Left dentistry after 12 years and to many God-syndrome docs.

I am several things:

To make money, I am one of the most hated people in the hospital, lol. I'm a phlebotomist, aka "Vampire." I am grateful I don't work the night or morning shifts, as I don't really wake anyone up to stick them! I work 1200-2230 for seven days in a row, the I get seven days off typically. Right now they've got me down for lots of extra shifts and on-calls (which is where I am right now...they called me in until 0300 this morning, and even called me in yesterday for 7 hours).

I am a musician and artist around town when I can as well. I'm a percussionist/drummer to several studios in the area, and orchestras, and do paintings to sell on the internet. I used to do jewlery, but haven't in a while.

I love my life, I love my jobs

Paralegal for a non-profit civil litigation organization. I've been working for the same organization for the past 5 years, but only a little over one year here in our new Northern California regional office (moved here from AZ to open this office).

Oh, and how could I forget the most important job in the world - Beagle couch (we have two - Snoopy and Lucy).

I've a B.S. in zoology, a M.S. in science education, and A.S. in veterinary technology, which makes me bullsXXt, more sXXt, all sXXt. I worked as a tech at a practice in Dorchester (one of the poorer neighborhoods of Boston) for 17 years, and have spent the past 7 years in a practice in one of the higher income suburbs of Boston. I've gotten black eyes, had my lip ripped open from nose to lip, had cat bites twice require IV antibiotics for 48 hours, also 2 episodes of Cat Scratch Disease that lead to lymph node biopsies. On the good days I just pick up dogs. I've dropped my floor to table lifts to 70 lbs, no amount of Kegel's assure my continence at higher weights. My body is feeling the wear & tear of my occupation too much and I'm planning on "retiring" next year even though I will only be 61. Hopefully I'll be able to find part time work to help make ends meet, ideally in a bike shop.
