I'm in Florida. The fires are actually in Georgia. Last I heard, 17 homes have been lost. Frightening. It's so dry. We need rain.

boy, talk about oxymorons. how could it be dry in Georgia and Florida?
I can't even imagine!
too bad that nor'eastern didn't dump a little farther south!
Despite the absolutely wonderful weather we're having, there is a downfall: it's extremely dry. Almost too dry for this time of year. Last night there was a small front coming through so,maybe GA got some too. Honestly, I can't wait for the daily afternoon showers.
It actually did, lots of tornodos and 3.5-4.5 inches of rain within an hour, and that's in Orlando! The thing is, iit's been really dry, so it was a like a bandaid on a gunshot wound, so to speak.
Not a drop here in North Florida. No smoke today as the winds have changed direction.
Stacie,
I understandAlthough Perth recieved 40mm of rain on Sunday(v close to the whole rainfall for the whole month of April in one day) we are still not out of our drought.
The fire situation during the summer was quite bad especially in the Eastern states. The water levels are not even close to being normal & water restrictions are still in place.
I hope rain comes your way soon.
