I'm an attorney. Antitrust litigation at a huge law firm. The job takes up many, many hours that would otherwise be spent cycling! Am starting to interview for government and smaller firm jobs so I can reclaim a bit of my time back.

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

Biologist for US Government, currently working on coastal restoration projects and "flood damaged reduction" projects in urban areas. This pays the bills and keeps the furry beasts in kibble.

Wow!! Someone else does what I do. I'm a biologist too. I restore all kinds of rare Southern CA habitats when another highway, home, school, etc. is built. If an oak tree is wiped out for development, I make sure as many as five more are planted to replace it. I also do rare plant and tree surveys, which means I count plants for a living.
I work for my two feline babies and to indulge my roommate's two dogs. Work also helps support my fiance's undergrad degree in computer engineering. Soon as he graduates, we're getting married and having human babies! We can have kids while he pursues a master's degree right?![]()
I'm a full time Personal Trainer (I own my own In-Home Personal Training business) and then a part-time Fitness Instructor that only teaches indoor cycling classes (5 - 6 weekly), but I can, if asked nicely, sub kick-boxing, sculpting or aqua classes.

I was trained as a bench scientist in genetics and molecular biology but I was not well suited for the emotional ups and downs of research. I never enjoyed it much and I got only a single publication. These days I do informatics database work for the National Cancer Institute.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

I used to do that, too. Mostly worked with commercial crab species, their environments, and predators. I miss the boat work and the lab and the beach work.
Yeah, the pay was pretty iffy and scarey... but the "sampling" of those big juicy red rock and dungeness crabs was mighty fine! *drool*![]()
