    Snork!!!!

That's a relief around here. Okay, it's down to 18 now, but that's been a typical wind for the past week or two around here. I rode across town when the airport wind thingy was telling the Weather Channel the winds were 45 mph(gusts to 53. (I decided to cancel the group ride.)

I'll be glad for a "windless" day of only 15 mph or so1!!

WOW Laurie!! You are a STUD!! It was sustained around 40 for awhile. I was waiting for my husband at the airport and I was talking with some airport staff. Really messed things up.

ahh not fun! I am in south fl, and i always end up riding along the beach(only really safe place to ride, and it isn't that safe still-crazy drivers). anyways, any winds over 16 bother me(i don't like getting pushed sideways into traffic).

does anyone have any advice on dealing with winds from the side? or is it just useless to try to stay in a straight path.

Yes, those pics don't look very tempting for riding. We've had a lot of wind up here in NoCal as well. Seems windier this year and as we all know much less rain.

Our weekend looks slightly better on the wind side of things!
