    Hi JoAnn and Lisa B-
Hope to see you on the Montalk Century! Have either of you been doing the traiing rides for the Metric with 5 BBC? I am planning on doing the one next weekend - the first one was fun.

I also want to try the weekday cyclist rides in Central Park - have you done them?

Today I had a great but cold ride up the Westside Bike Path to the GWB - had to buy bike booties on the way home, it was so cold,

I hope I am able to ride it. My girlfriends leg is not feeling very well. Anyway, like last year I am just getting out there and riding after work. No major training right now. I would like to begin riding more miles on the Sundays since I work on Saturdays, however, the weather has not been cooperating. If I can get out on the weekends, along with my little after work rides, I should be fine as that is what I did last year. I am on the trainer all winter so I just need long miles in the saddle.

I hope to see you both at the Montauk century. Work has been keeping me from getting out on my bike as much as I would like, I'm just trying to fit in spinning in the morning and one long weekend ride. I'm going to ride the 5 boro tour the begining of May as my first organized ride of the spring/summer!

I did my first Central Park ride this week with the weekday Cyclist group - very nice people and a beautiful ride in the park then down the westside highway bike path and home to Brooklyn. The NY Cycle Club and 5 Borough have great organized weekend rides - I went on one a few weeks ago that was great - people are very generous with good positive advice for us newbies.

The NYCC does have some early morning training rides in the Central Park before work.

JoAnn - i hope your friend's leg feels better soon - my good friend is a runner who can't run because of her knee, and it is tough.

When I register for the Montaulk I'll let you know my number so we can find each other. I am toying with doing the full Century - we will see how the next few weeks go -- lets hope for good weather!
